Administers anestheticcare for patients requiring anesthesia, sedation, and/or pain relief therapy.
Followsestablished policies and procedures, objectives, safety standards, andsensitivity to confidential information.
Willing and ableto demonstrate appropriate core competencies annually or as requested.
Maintainsuninterrupted observation of the patient during anesthesia and informs theanesthesiologist and/or the surgeon of abnormal, significant conditions andparameters.
Makes pre andpostoperative anesthesia visits to the patient.
Presents andparticipates in creating appropriate department records, policies, procedures,and quality improvement plans.
Participates indepartment budget coordination, physical, and manpower plans.
Maintainsanesthesia supplies and equipment in good working condition and ready forscheduled and emergency situations.
Providesin-service education within the department and to other hospital staff.
Participates inrequired continuing education programs for CRNA's.
Maintains confidentialityin accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Support theculture of service excellence throughout the organization.
Actively seek waysto demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and participate inprofessional development opportunities.
Performs otherrelated duties as assigned or requested.
Completes annualeducational requirements.

Minimum Education Graduate of an accredited nursingprogram with the nurse anesthesia residency from AANA approved program. Preferred:M.S. from residency program.
Required Skills Certifications: X Basic Life Support(BLS) X Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Licenses: MichiganCRNA, RN License. Primary Source Verification: American Association for NurseAnesthetists, Michigan Board of Nursing.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
